TRIP CANCELLATION & INTERRUPTION

Trip Cancellation and Interruption coverage is available as an add-on to the Safe Endeavor card. Trip Cancellation and Interruption coverage reimburses nonrefundable payments you lose if your trip is cancelled or cut short for a sudden, unforeseen reason.

Trip Cancellation and Interruption coverage must be purchased at least 21 days prior to departure.

What’s Covered

Forfeited, nonrefundable prepaid deposits or payments

The charge for a single supplement if your traveling companion’s trip is cancelled but yours is not

Additional transportation expenses incurred

With Trip Cancellation and Interruption insurance, you’re covered for the following reason:

Sickness or Injury

You are treated for a sickness or injury, which begins while you’re under coverage, and are advised not to travel.

Delay or Cancellation

Common carrier delays or cancellations resulting from inclement weather, financial insolvency, or organized labor strikes.

Personal Tragedy

You, your traveling companion, or a family member passes away.

Legal Issues

Being hijacked, kidnapped, quarantined, required to serve on a jury, or required by a court order to appear as a witness.

Natural Disaster

Your home or destination made uninhabitable by fire, flood, volcano, earthquake, hurricane or other natural disaster.

Military Assignment

You or your traveling companion have a previously approved military leave revoked or experience a military reassignment.

Terrorist Incident

A terrorist incident which occurs in your departure or destination city within 30 days of the scheduled departure date or during your trip.

Trip Cancellation insurance costs 6.5% of up to the total cost of your trip. For example, if you choose to insure $1000 of your trip cost, Trip Cancellation will cost $65.
